AquaWatch in Europe: Establishing our first EU Hub in Ireland

AquaWatch is excited to announce the establishment of our EU headquarters in Ireland, marking a significant milestone in our expansion across the UK and EU. This expansion of our service offering strengthens our ability to deliver comprehensive water quality monitoring solutions and provide localised support to our growing client base in the region. By ensuring our hardware is managed, serviced, and calibrated at our European base, we streamline our European clients’ experience and free up their time to focus on the work for which they are responsible.

Leading our European operations are James and Jenny Carroll, whose combined expertise will help drive our European expansion. James Carroll, our European Manager, brings a wealth of experience rooted in land management and sustainable practices. His journey has taken him from the fields of Cork, where he studied estate agency and agriculture, to the dairy farms of New Zealand, and then to a pivotal role in production management at ABP Food Group. James now applies his deep understanding of land stewardship to water resource management, leading our European efforts with a focus on innovation and sustainability.

“As the manager of AquaWatch’s European Hub, I bring a deep-rooted understanding of land management, technical experience and a commitment to sustainable practices to my role,” says James. “My experiences, combined with five years in production management at ABP, have equipped me with a deep respect for the critical relationship between land stewardship and environmental sustainability. Today, I manage our 950-acre family farm, where we milk 900 cows for Tirlan and are at the forefront of integrating innovative, yet practical solutions, always guided by the belief that if we care for the land, it will, in turn, care for us.”

At AquaWatch, James applies this philosophy to the broader challenge of water resource management. “I lead our European efforts to support water quality management solutions that empower industries, farmers, and communities to make informed decisions,” James continues. “My work is driven by a passion for preserving our natural resources for future generations, ensuring that the land and water we depend on today remain healthy and productive tomorrow. With a focus on practical innovation and sustainability, I am proud to contribute to a future where technology and responsible management go hand in hand.”

Supporting James is Jenny Carroll, who brings a wealth of business experience and a solid background in management accounting. Jenny’s expertise in financial planning and operational efficiency will be invaluable as we scale our operations across the region. Together, James and Jenny will ensure that AquaWatch’s data as a service and calibration model is now fully resourced within the EU and UK, enabling us to provide timely and effective support to our clients as our projects expand.

“The establishment of our European headquarters in Ireland is an indication of our commitment to the region and our excitement about our expansion. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of service and innovation in water quality monitoring, ensuring those managing water across Europe have the tools they need to manage their water resources sustainably,” added Abi Croutear-Foy, AquaWatch Managing Director.

“As we continue to expand our presence, we remain focused on our mission: to deliver innovative, practical, and useful solutions that protect and preserve our water resources for future generations”, she added.

With James and Jenny Carroll leading the provision of our full service model in Europe, we are well-positioned to achieve our goal of simplifying water management, and to support the needs of our growing client base across the EU and UK.
